The Organizing Committee of the Green Film Festival in Seoul held a news conference on April 19 introducing this year’s lineup of 55 films from 21 countries. Eco Friends Shin Hyun-bin and Jun Suk-ho attended the event.

The 14th annual film festival consists of two competitive sections -- Green Competition and Korea Green Competition -- and six special sections -- Climate Change, Post-Nuclear, Focus -- For a New Environmental Movement, UMFF Choice, Special Focus: Jerry Rothwell, and Sustainable Life.

The opening film is “City of Ghosts,” a documentary about the life-risking struggle of young citizen journalists in a city occupied by the armed terrorist organization IS in 2014. It vividly shows the reality of the conflict zone in Syria through the fight for freedom of expression and peace waged by those who lost their families from IS’s persistent chase and revenge. The film festival will run for a week from May 18 at ECC Arthouse MOMO at Ewha Womans University.
