Officials from the Korea Green Foundation visited Pho Ya Wea village in Maubing Township, Ayawaddy State, Myanmar, the first candidate site for the third stage of the Asia Solar Power Support Project, from January 8 to 13. The foundation launched the "Sun Men Sun Women" solar energy campaign in November and has since been working to find sponsors and project sites.

Most villagers of Pho Ya Wea are still using kerosene lamps and candles which can cause respiratory diseases and fires. Concluding it is urgent to replace them with solar energy sources, the Foundation will work actively to recruit sponsors to help support the project.
